Fort Myers Brewing Company is hosting a night of spooky fun for the Halloween season with its Witches & Warlocks Halloween Bash from 2 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, featuring family friendly festivities, craft beer and a wicked good time to benefit childhood cancer care.
The Witches & Warlocks Halloween Bash – hosted in partnership with Tia’s Kitchen – will include a food truck competition, costume contests, specialty beers on tap and other fun Halloween activities. DJ Nate will play from 3 to 7 p.m.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Barbara’s Friends – Golisano Children’s Hospital Cancer Fund. The fundraiser will help ensure that programs and services are available for local children diagnosed with cancer at the hospital, providing support for the needs of patients, clinical trials, counseling, equipment, facilities, staffing and family assistance.
Fort Myers Brewing is brewing up a series of Halloween-themed beers for the occasion, including Gateway Ghouls (Gateway Blonde), Fort Myers Fright (Fort Myers Light), RedRum (Red Tape), Howl 5 (High 5) and Wizardly Wheat (American Wheat). There will also be both regular and frozen cocktails available, including a Pumkin Spice Paloma and a Zombie cocktail.
Throughout the evening, guests can enjoy eats from local food truck favorites CakeBar by Geo’s Cakery, Cositas Gourmet, Dawgs in Paradise, Kasia’s Taste of Poland, Luna’s Little Cheese Emporium, Pryceless Island Grill, South Pizza Co. and Sue’s Crepes. A panel of local celebrity judges will name winners in several categories: Sweet, Savory, Judges’ Choice and Overall. Peoples’ Choice will be selected by attendees of the event. Awards and prizes will be presented at 7 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in their spookiest or silliest attire with two costume contests taking place throughout the evening. Judging will take place at 5 p.m. for the children’s costume contest and at 7 p.m. for the adult costume contest. Prizes will be presented after each judging.
